Ingredients

2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon thyme (ground)
1 teaspoon cumin
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 6 oz each)

Method

In a small bowl, combine the paprika, thyme, cumin, cayenne, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Spread the mixture out on a wide plate so it’s easy to coat the chicken evenly later.
While you finish prepping, preheat your air fryer to 360°F (about 175°C).
Rub a little oil over each chicken breast until they’re lightly coated, then press the chicken into the spice mixture, making sure all sides are covered well. Let the chicken sit for about 5 minutes so the seasonings can settle in.
Place the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket and cook until they’re no longer pink in the center. This usually takes around 20 minutes, and it helps to flip them halfway through so they cook evenly. If you’re using a thermometer, the internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
Once the chicken is done, transfer it to a plate and let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing or serving. This keeps the meat juicy and tender.
