Method
Get everything ready
- Take out all your ingredients first. Turn on the oven and let it heat to 375°F (190°C).
Combine dry ingredients
- In a small bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
Cream butter and sugar
- In a large mixing bowl, use a mixer to beat the softened butter with the sugar until the mixture becomes light and creamy.
Add egg and flavor
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract, blending well.
Add dry mixture
- Slowly add the flour mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms.
Shape the cookies
- Form the dough into small balls (about the size of a walnut). Place them on a baking tray, leaving space between each one.
Bake
- Put the tray in the oven and bake for 8–10 minutes, just until the edges start to turn light golden.
Let them cool
- Leave the cookies on the tray for a few minutes, then move them to a cooling rack until completely cool.
